Window tinting SEO · Australia-wide

Window tinting SEO for tint shops that aren’t showing up on Google.

You know the feeling. Someone three suburbs away searches for a tinter, and the call goes to the shop whose peel-and-bubble you’ve had to strip and redo twice.

Window tinting SEO is the work that decides which of you turns up first — and it has almost nothing to do with how nice your website looks. We only work with window tinting businesses. Not tradies generally, not “local business” in the abstract. Tint shops.

The real issue

Why isn’t my tint shop showing up on Google?

Nearly always it’s one of three things: your Google Business Profile is incomplete, your website doesn’t say the words your customers actually type, or the site is too slow on a phone to hold anyone who does land on it. None of those get fixed by making the site prettier.

Here’s the pattern we see over and over. A shop pays for a website, it looks sharp, everyone’s happy — and it quietly sits on page four. The site was built to be looked at, not to be found. It has one page called “Services” that lists tinting alongside six other things, no suburb ever appears in the copy, and the Google Business Profile hasn’t been touched since the day it was claimed.

The fix isn’t glamorous. It’s filling out the profile properly, writing pages that answer the actual questions, and making the thing load fast on a phone in a carpark.

Why us

Thirty years in a tint shop before a single day in SEO.

Here’s the part most agencies can’t say. The person who runs this spent more than three decades owning and running a tint shop before he ever touched SEO — search was learned to get his own shop onto page one, not the other way around.

That changes what we look for. We already know a page ranking for “window tinting” in the CBD is worthless when your bays are forty minutes out. We know ceramic enquiries and fleet work behave nothing like a walk-in visor strip, and which of those is actually worth chasing versus the ones that just fill the diary at low margin. You won’t spend the first month explaining your own trade to us.

01

Relevance

How well your profile matches what someone actually searched. Categories, services, and a profile that’s genuinely filled in.

02

Distance

How far you are from the searcher. This one you can’t change — you are where you are.

03

Prominence

How well known your business is. Largely reviews and reputation, and Google is direct that more reviews and positive ratings can help.

Google Maps

What actually decides where a tint shop ranks on Maps?

Google says local ranking comes down to three factors: relevance, distance and prominence. Distance you can’t change. Relevance and prominence you absolutely can.

One thing worth knowing before someone sells you a shortcut: Google says flatly that there’s no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. If an agency implies otherwise, that tells you what you need to know.

Is your Google Business Profile quietly putting itself at risk?

If you’ve packed your business name with keywords or your suburb — “Joe’s Tinting Sydney Car Window Tint Ceramic” — you’re breaking Google’s rules, and the profile itself is what’s on the line. Google’s guidelines on your business name say including unnecessary information isn’t permitted and could result in the suspension of your Business Profile.

That includes marketing taglines, location details bolted onto the name, and service or product information. Your name field is your name. We check this first on every shop we look at, because a suspension undoes years of work in an afternoon.

Your website

Why doesn’t my website bring in calls?

Most tinting websites look fine and still don’t sell, because looking good and being findable are two different jobs. A site earns calls when it can be found, answers the questions a customer actually has, and pushes them toward picking up the phone.

Ask yourself what a customer wants to know before they book: Is this legal on my car? How long does it take? What does it cost, roughly? Do you come to me? How long is the warranty? If your site makes them hunt for those answers, they’ll go back and click the next result instead. And the phone number belongs where a thumb can reach it — top of the screen, every page, tappable.

Does a slow website actually cost a tint shop rankings?

Partly, yes. Google states that Core Web Vitals are used by its ranking systems — but the same page says Google still seeks to show the most relevant content even when page experience is sub-par. So speed won’t rescue a page that answers nothing. It will decide close calls.

The bigger trap is mobile. Google uses the mobile version of your site for indexing and ranking, and only the content shown on the mobile site is used for indexing. If your builder hid half the page on phones to keep it tidy, Google is grading you on the half that’s left.

What works best for Australian tint shops?

For most Australian tint shops the order is Google Business Profile first, website second, paid ads third — because the first two compound and the third stops the day you stop paying.

The offer

A website rebuild is normally quoted $3,000 to $10,000.

Sign for twelve months and yours is included — the same result as buying a new website, without the separate invoice. Most agencies sell you SEO, then bill separately for the website, again for Google Maps, and treat AI search as an upgrade. We don’t split it up.

No guarantees, no gimmicks. We optimise your website and your Google Business Profile to bring you more traffic and more calls. Anyone promising you a specific position by a specific date is guessing.

The rest of the work

Search rankings are one half of it.

Organic rankings get you found in search. Google Maps for window tinting covers the map pack, where most tint jobs actually start. Website design for tint shops handles the site those searches land on, and social media management keeps your profiles looking like a shop worth booking.

Want the whole picture including paid advertising? That is window tint marketing. All of it sits under one monthly SEO price — one package at $1,497 a month, no lock-in.

Questions

Straight answers.

How long does window tinting SEO take to work?

Google Business Profile improvements can move within weeks. Website and content work generally take months, not days, because Google has to recrawl, reassess and see the changes hold. Anyone who promises you a specific position by a specific date is guessing.

Should I spend on advertising or SEO first?

If your Business Profile and website are a mess, ads are just the expensive way to paper over it. Sort out the free assets first, then use ads deliberately — to fill a quiet fortnight, not to keep the lights on. A shop switches on a campaign, watches it chew through a few hundred dollars for a handful of tyre-kickers, and decides ads don’t work. Usually the ads were fine and everything they pointed at was broken.

How do you promote a tint shop beyond paid ads?

Your Google Business Profile, a steady habit of asking for reviews, photos of your own work, and partnerships with the businesses that meet your customer first. Used car dealers, detailers, glaziers, panel shops, builders and property managers all touch a customer who’s about to need tinting. One reliable dealer relationship can be worth more than a year of ad spend.

What happens when I ask for the free audit?

We go through your website and your Google Business Profile by hand, and email you back a plain-English list of what’s actually costing you calls, with the fixes in the order we’d tackle them. No obligation, no lock-in contract, and no automated score out of a hundred.

Do you work with businesses outside window tinting?

No. We work with window tinting businesses only — which is the whole reason we already know where your competitors are beating you before we open your site.
